The way to get rid of annoying flash banners in Firefox
From now i decided to write in English about things that can be interesting for people who don't understand Ukrainian. But there are many ukrainians who don't understand English, but it's their problem, I guess :-)
This article is recipe how to get rid of annoying flash banners which also "eat" quite a lot of RAM. Ingredients: Firefox, AdBlock plus extension, straight hands.
The main idea of this tweak is to ban all .swf files, but allow few sites flash content to be downloaded from (youtube, last.fm etc).
Step 1
Install AdBlock Plus extension;Step 2
Open settings window;Step 3
Add new filter: *.swf$domain=~youtube.com|~last.fm and press Apply button.You can always extend this list with new sites which swfs you want to accept by adding pipe and new domain.
